Lena completed her BA in Geography and Environmental Studies at UCCS. After successfully losing 100lbs by getting back to eating real food. Her passion for real food evolved into knowing where her food came from and eventually grew into starting a small sustainable farmstead in Black Forest. Her passion and knowledge for real food, farming, and health will inspire you.
Susan Gordon is currently co-managing Venetucci Farm, a 190 acre diverse urban farm on the southwestern edge of Colorado Springs, with her husband Patrick Hamilton. Although her degrees from the University of Notre Dame and Denver University helped form her world view, which includes seeing food as a justice issue, Susan’s real education has come from working the land and participating in the creative process of food production. She has a passion for healthy food grown in a way that protects and restores the natural environment and enjoys sharing that passion with others.
