On Sunday, October 14th at 7pm, American Meat will screen on the UM Kansas City campus in the Student Union at 5100 Cherry, as part of our nationwide Young Farmers Screening Series. The UMKC screening will be followed by a dynamic panel discussion, featuring local sustainable meat farmer Tom Parker; co-founder of urban farmstead and educational center Badseed Brooke Salvaggio; 715 Mass chef Michael Beard; The Local Pig’s owner Alex Pope. Moderating will be the film director, Graham Meriwether. After the panel, a reception will be held, with charcuterie courtesy of The Local Pig, location TBD.
